Congressional Leaders Team With Tea Party Submit Thousands of No Tax Increase Petitions

Washington, DC (PRWEB) December 06, 2012

A press conference will be held on Wednesday, December 12th, during which over 150,000 individually signed petitions will be presented demanding that GOP leaders refuse any proposed tax increase. The petition, which is being submitted by top conservative Republican leaders and members of the Tea Party, has been collecting signatures for just over two weeks.

The press conference will include Kentucky Senator Rand Paul, Georgia Congressman Paul Broun, TheTeaParty.net, leading Tea Party activist Niger Innis and other conservative leaders.

As the fiscal cliff negotiations linger on, talks of compromise on new job-killing taxes continue to plague the GOP. Calling the current tax rate the Bush tax cuts, Democrats have sought to raise taxes on those making over $ 200,000 which only serves to inhibit business growth and the creation of jobs for the middle class.

Despite calls from conservative leaders to demand spending cuts in lieu of any tax increases, many Republican leaders still continue to consider tax increases a possible option.

Americans are taxed enough and the Republican Party is in serious danger of alienating their core constituency of Americans who are tired of seeing government take more and more money to fund government waste, says TheTeaParty.Nets founder Todd Cefaratti. We want to ensure that Speaker of the House John Boehner does not yield to President Obamas agenda and make the mistake of compromising on this vital issue. As Americans brace for the burdensome taxes associated with Obamacare mandates, the last thing America needs is a tax increase. Republican leaders must heed the Tea Partys call for no tax increases.

The press conference will begin promptly at 3:00pm Eastern on December 12th, 2012, at the Capitol Hill Club.
